My first Swap!

I've joined a swap! My first one! I'm so excited. I've never done a swap before and I think I will love this. It's the Down Under Doll Quilt Swap I found them on Flickr.
I've signed up for round two and it starts soon. I have been looking around other swap groups to see what others get up to. I'm telling you I can't believe the talent out there. I hope I can come up with something even half as fabulous as some of those amazing mini quilts.

GG's quilt

Just quickly, before the end of the day, the quilt I made this week for my mother in law's 60th birthday.


Just a lap quilt. She loved it so much she decided she had better buy a new couch to match it!

Note to self... don't bind quilts when seriously sleep deprived!

Harry's plane quilt

My friend Kel from my mums group asked me to make her a new quilt for her little boy Harry. She didnt care how I did it. She has two already that Ive made for her and loves them so much she just had to have another... so.... HERE IT IS!




What do you think? ! just used various blues and greens and raw edge appliqued the planes on. I think she'll like it. William certainly did, he kept pointing to himself everytime I showed him!
OH yeah, and I's so proud, I actually quilted it with my free motion foot. Finally had the guts to use it! I quilted clouds all over it. I think it looks good

Libby's Birthday Quilt

My sister is getting married again in March. Her partner has a daughter, my sister has a little boy. Blake got a quilt, my first one ever made, a couple of years ago. I wish i had a picture of it coz it was shocking! i had no idea what i was doing! But, Blake LOVED it because I had made it and because it was covered in fire trucks!
This one is for Libby. Her birthday was on Monday. I hope she likes it and gets it soon, as i had to express post it.

Kate's purple quilt

Here it is! Ben's little sister Kate turned 11 at the end of December. I hurried to get it done as quick as possible, what with all the christmas stuff I decided to make as gifts, I didn't leave myself much time.
Her bedroom is white with a pastel purple feature wall and all white furniture so the only choice was purple and white! She loved it, I love it, we all love it!
I think I will make more of them. I love the coloured squares with white sashes. Yes I will make more!
