My first day of school was very exciting. all the hype had been done by the kindy I went to, and I was moving to the school with a whole bunch of my friends so that was great.

My oldest started grade 1 this year, so far there have been no tears. His real first day last year, or should I say the whole first term, was terrible with tears everyday.
I love the book bag and I am sure my boys would fight over it!

My son turns 5 in April so will start school then. He is pretty excited about it and should cope ok since he has been going to kindergarten. My first day of school seems so long ago, that I can't remember it well at all! : )

My son's first day of school was exciting for him and a bit emotional for us parents. He was very excited because he already know some of the kids there. But for us (esp me) I felt a bit teary eyed saying goodbye to him. I remember all the parents were outside their room and no one wants to leave.

My sons 1st day of school was fantastic. He was so excited and jumped right in. His 2nd day not so good. Tears, tears and more tears. His 3rd day the teacher had to peel a screaming child off me while I tried to keep it together and leave the room. Once out of sight I fell to pieces. This continued until halfway through grade 1. Fingers crossed when he starts grade 2 on Tuesday he will be as excited as he seems to be today.

Awesome giveaway! My oldest son started 4k this year, and everyday dropping him off for nearly 4 weeks I left him at school in tears! It's such a hard transistion on both mom and kiddo I think!

My DD only just started school part way through 2011 - but I will remember the day for a long time to come - just due to the look of such awesomeness on her face when she realised that the day had finally come to go to school - every single day!!
